Tense situation at Matara Immigration office

COLOMBO (News 1st); A tense situation broke out near the Matara regional office of the Department of Immigration and Emigration on Monday (12) morning.

A large number of people arrived at the office on Monday (12) to obtain services.

However, the unrest was reported when it was announced that services will only be provided to 130 people.

News 1st correspondent said Police officers were also called to control the situation.
