Operation Yukthiya nets another 930 suspects in 24 hours

COLOMBO (News 1st) - 930 suspects have been apprehended in the past 24 hours under Operation Yukthiya.

The Ministry of Public Security says that among them are 664 suspects involved in drug offenses.

266 suspects on the list of wanted persons prepared by the Police Narcotics Bureau and Special Bureau have also been apprehended. 

Police say 425 grams of heroin, and 6 Kilograms of cannabis alongside a stock of other drugs were seized during the operation.
