COLOMBO (News 1st); A delegation of International Monetary Fund (IMF) representatives will arrive in Sri Lanka tonight, marking the start of a week-long visit focused on evaluating the country's recent economic performance and progress on ongoing reforms.
The Ministry of Finance confirmed the visit, stating that the representatives will remain in Sri Lanka until January 17th.
Their primary objective is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the nation's economic trajectory.
Furthermore, the Ministry revealed that the IMF representatives have expressed interest in holding discussions with key officials, including the President, Prime Minister, Finance Minister, and Central Bank authorities.
