SINOPEC announces retail fuel prices for Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st); SINOPEC Lanka on Friday (1) announced its retail fuel prices for Sri Lanka.

92 Octane Petrol (1l) will be sold for Rs. 358/-.

95 Octane Petrol (1l) will be sold for Rs. 414/-.

Auto Diesel (1l) will be sold for Rs. 338/-.

Super Diesel (1l) will be sold for Rs. 356/-.

Kerosene (1l) will be sold for Rs. 231/-.

SINOPEC Lanka officially commenced operations with its first franchised filling station in Mattegoda on Thursday (31st August).

Petrol & Diesel was pumped at a discount of Rs. 3/- per liter as a market promotion campaign initiated by SINOPEC.

A statement said that a supply plan is in motion to progressively hand over all 150 filling stations to Sinopec's management before October.

Under the signing of the Long-Term Contract of Importation, Storage, Distribution, and Sale of Petroleum Products in Sri Lanka with the Ministry of Power and Energy on May, Sinopec has been granted a 20-year license to operate 150 fuel stations and will also be able to invest in 50 new fuel stations.

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation increased fuel prices with effect from midnight on Thursday (31). 

92 Octane Petrol (1l) was increased by Rs. 13/- to Rs. 361/-.

95 Octane Petrol (1l) was increased by Rs.  42/- to Rs. 417/-.

Auto Diesel (1l) was increased by Rs.  35/- to Rs. 341/-.

Super Diesel (1l) was increased by Rs. 1/- to Rs. 359/-.
