COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia Udayanga Weeratunga was permitted by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court on Wednesday (23) to travel overseas.
Udayanga Weeratunga had requested permission to travel overseas until the 22nd of November 2023.
Udayanga Weeratunga, onetime Sri Lanka Ambassador to Russia is a suspect in the case filed for allegedly being involved in the embezzlement of state funds over the procurement of MiG-27 fighter jets from Ukraine.
