Man arrested for impersonating Edu. Ministry Official

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A suspect has been arrested for forging official documents and impersonating an additional secretary at the ministry of education. 

It was reported that the forged documents were used to enroll 29 students into a girls' school in Kandy. 

Accordingly, the arrested suspect was a 45-year-old resident of Dharmashoka Mawatha, Kandy conducting in the capacity of a Grama Niladhari in the Deiyanwela area. 

Sri Lanka Police has revealed that the inquiry was conducted following a complaint received by the relevant additional secretary of the Ministry of education. 

Subsequently, the suspect is to be produced before the Kandy Magistrate's court on Wednesday (23).
