Two men gunned down within hours in Sri Lanka's south

COLOMBO (News 1st); Two men were brutally gunned down within a span of hours on Tuesday (15) night in the south of Sri Lanka.

Two unidentified motorcycle gunmen opened fire at a 35-year-old in Kudawella, Tangalle.

He was gunned down while meeting with several others in Kudawella at around 7 PM, said Sri Lanka Police.

Half an hour later, an unidentified body was discovered on an abandoned coconut plantation in the Bodarakanda area in Dikwella.

Sri Lanka Police said the deceased had been shot dead, and the body had been moved to the location by those responsible for the murder.

The identity of the deceased remains a mystery, and police investigations are underway over both shootings.
