Over 150,000 people affected by dry weather

COLOMBO (News 1st); Approximately 51,641 families living in 13 districts have been severely affected by arid weather conditions, said the Disaster Management Center.

The DMC said that a majority of the affected families are from the Sabaragamuwa, Eastern, North-Western, Northern, Uva, and Southern Provinces.

It added that a total of 171,781 people were affected by arid weather conditions.
