Sri Lanka DDO: Speaker says won't reverse decision

COLOMBO (News 1st); Opposition lawmakers in Sri Lanka have urged the speaker to withdraw his statement, in which he said that the proposal on executing the Domestic Debt Optimization program cannot be challenged in any court.

However, Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said he would not amend his stance on the matter. He said that his decision was made following consultations with legal professionals.
