Sri Lanka to restart stalled Japanese projects after completing debt optimization

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka and Japan have agreed to restart the stalled development projects in Sri Lanka, supported by the Government of Japan.

During a meeting between President Ranil Wickremesinghe and the Fujimaru Satoshi, Minister of State in the Cabinet Office of Japan on Monday (31) it was agreed to restart these projects once the credit optimization process in Sri Lanka is complete.

According to the President's Media Division, they decided to involve officials from the Japanese Embassy in Sri Lanka in conducting an investigation related to these projects.

Yamammoto Kozo, former Minister of State for Regional Revitalization and Regulatory Reform, also called on President Ranil Wickremesinghe along with the Minister of State.
