Mother & daughter reported missing in Horana; Police probe underway

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police launched an investigation after a mother and her 11-month-old child were reported missing from Anguruwatota, Horana.

It is reported that 24-year-old Wasana Kumari, and her 11-month-old daughter have been missing since Tuesday (18).

Wasana Kumari is married to a day-wage earner, and he had noticed that his wife and daughter were missing when he returned home on Tuesday (18) evening.

Sri Lanka Police said that a relative of the family was arrested over the incident, and a further investigation are underway.
