COLOMBO (News 1st); Senior Professor Anura Manatunga has stepped down from the post of Director General of Archaeology.
Speaking to News 1st, subject Minister Vidura Wickramanayake confirmed that Senior Professor Anura Manatunga had sent the letter of resignation to the Ministry Secretary.
Minister Vidura Wickramanayake said a copy of the letter was also directed to him.
