Colombo (News 1st) – Ketchup giant Heinz is trying to locate Elvis Francois, the sailor from Dominica who survived alone at sea for several weeks by eating ketchup, to gift him a new state-of-the-art boat. But the saucy sailor can’t be found and Heinz has taken to social media to appeal for help.

Francois, 47, had been repairing his boat on the island of St. Martin in the Caribbean when a wave dragged the boat out to sea. He spent 24 days before being spotted by a rescue aircraft from the Colombian Navy.

Heinz wants to gift him a new boat equipped with a state-of-the-art navigation system so that he won’t ever get lost again, the company said.

Heinz has asked people on social media to use the hashtag #FindTheKetchupBoatGuy to help in the search.
