CID grills Additional Health Secretary

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Health Dr. Saman Rathnayaka is currently being questioned by the Criminal Investigations Department, with regard to the stock of substandard Human Immunoglobulin. 

It is reported that the documents that were found in his office are also being investigated. 

Former Secretary of the Ministry of Health Janaka Sri Chandraguptha was recently remanded in connection with the incident. 

Six people including Chandraguptha are currently in remand custody, with regard to the stock of human immunoglobulin, which is said to have been administered to about 2,000 patients in the country.
