Additional Secretary of Health Office Sealed

COLOMBO (News 1st); In a significant development related to the ongoing investigation into the questionable batch of human immunoglobulin, the Maligakanda Magistrate Court ordered the sealing of the office of Dr. Saman Ratnayake, the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Health.

Acting on court orders, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) took custody of all files within the office today, between 8 am and 5 pm.

Following a thorough examination of the seized files, the Attorney General's Department confirmed that Dr. Ratnayake will be summoned to provide statements.

The sealing of the office came after the former Secretary of the Ministry of Health, previously arrested in connection with the case, was presented to the court yesterday.
