Colombo records highest number of dengue patients

COLOMBO (News 1st); The National Dengue Control Unit of the Ministry of Health said that it has declared 50 MOH Divisions as Dengue High Risk Zones.
It added that 68,884 dengue patients were reported from across the island in November 2023, and highest figure of 15,953 was reported from the Colombo District.
A total of 14,912 dengue patients were reported from the Gampaha District during the same period.
Moreover, a total of 4,672 dengue cases were reported from the Kalutara District, while 7,482 dengue patients were reported from the Kandy district, during the same period.
