Auditor General to launch probe regarding use of Ministry vehicles

Colombo (News 1st) - The National Audit Office says it will initiate an investigation regarding vehicles used by state institutions including Ministries and Departments.

Auditor Generaln W. P. C. Wickramarate said he will seek assistance from the Department of Motor Traffic for the investigation.

The Auditor General said the investigation will look into whether the relevant vehicles are in possession of the state institutions as documented, and whether the vehicles have been used efficiently.

The National Audit Office said it will investigate state institutions including Ministries and Departments separately.
