Colombo (News 1st) - A shooting on a mushroom farm near the town of Half Moon Bay in San Mateo County, California has left seven people dead and one critical. The shooter is in custody, police said.
Four bodies and the wounded person, who is critical, were found on the farm itself, and three more bodies at a trucking facility near the farm, police said.
The 67-year-old suspect was taken into custody without incident with a semi-automatic handgun. Half Moon Bay is located just south of San Francisco.
This is the second mass shooting within days in California. Eleven people died on Saturday when a gunman opened fire at a Chinese New Year celebration. The shooter was later found dead of self-inflicted gunshots.
