BREAKING: Lisa Marie Presley, only child of rock legend Elvis, dies of heart attack aged 54

Colombo (News 1st) - BREAKING: Lisa Marie Presley, 54, the only child of rock legend Elvis and one-time wife of Michael Jackson, died of a heart attack on Thursday in the United States, her mother announced.

"It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," Priscilla Presley said in a tweet.

She was discovered unconscious and unresponsive in her home in Calabasas, California. She was administered adrenaline and regained a pulse and then rushed to the hospital. However she was then pronounced dead shortly after.

Presley followed in her famed father's footsteps and became a singer, releasing three albums. She married four times - to Michael Jackson, actor Nicholas Cage and musicians Danny Keough and Michael Lockwood. She had three children, one of whom is the actress Roxy Keough. Presley's son, Benjamin Keough, killed himself two years ago.

She was last seen publicly at the Golden Globes awards earlier this week at which a film on her father Elvis won best film drama actor (Austin Butler).
