Ex-Pakistan PM Imran Khan injured in a shooting; One suspect arrested

Chaotic scenes broke out near PTI's reception camp at Allahwala Chowk in Gujranwala after gunshots were fired at chairman Imran Khan.

According to Geo News, he sustained bullet injuries on his leg. According to the police, the suspect who opened fire on Khan's container has been arrested. 

Several other people, including PTI leader Faisal Javed, also sustained injuries. 

PTI's Imran Ismail has said that party chief Imran Khan has been shot in the leg "three to four" times.

Speaking to Bol TV, he said that he was next to Imran when the attack occurred. He said that Faisal Javed was also injured and Imran sustained three to four bullet injuries in the leg.

PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry has confirmed that Imran Khan was shot in the leg in a targeted attack during the long march in Wazirabad today.

In an interview with Aaj TV immediately after the incident, he said that three people were injured in the attack, including Senator Faisal Javed and Ahmad Chattha.
