HRCSL sets up disability unit

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) has established a disability unit within the premises of the Human Rights Commission.

Commissioners Anusuya Shanmuganathan and Dr. Nimal Karunasiri with National Democratic Institute (NDI), Disability Organizations Joint Front Sri Lanka (DJOF), and other relevant stakeholders with whom the HRCSL is working closely to safeguard disability rights, seeks the indulgence of the Minister, Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, Minister of Justice for an audience to discuss matters of utmost importance and practical implementation of the stated Bills and its current status, said the Human Rights Commission.
