Landslides Disrupt Nanu Oya–Badulla Train Services

COLOMBO (News1st); Train services on the Main Line between Nanu Oya and Badulla have been temporarily suspended due to earth and rock slides reported between Bandarawela and Heel Oya.

The Railway Department stated that operations to clear the fallen earth and rocks are currently underway.

Accordingly, the department announced that the "Podi Menike" train, which was traveling from Nanu Oya to Badulla, was limited to operating only up to the Bandarawela Railway Station.
