COLOMBO (News1st);The period granted to pay income tax for the 2025/2026 assessment year ends today.
Individuals and businesses subject to corporate income tax, individual income tax, and partnership income tax are required to settle their tax payments under this.
The Inland Revenue Department stated that individuals and businesses subject to taxation who have not yet paid their taxes must do so within today.
The department further stated that those who fail to comply will be subject to fines and interest charges.
Payments can be made online via the Inland Revenue Department's online tax payment portal, or at any Bank of Ceylon branch.
