Parliament Debates 22nd Amendment for the Second Day

COLOMBO (News1st);The parliamentary debate on the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution and the Judicature (Amendment) Bill is being held for the second consecutive day today.

The vote on these measures is expected to take place at 7:00 PM tonight.

The debate began yesterday on the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution which proposes extending the retirement age of Supreme Court and Court of Appeal judges by two years and the Judicature (Amendment) Bill, which seeks to extend the retirement age of other court judges by two years.
