Namal Rajapaksa Bribery Case Called Before Court Today

COLOMBO (News1st);The bribery case against Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa will be called again today at the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court.

The case is scheduled to be taken up at 9:30 AM today.

Namal Rajapaksa, who was arrested by the Bribery Commission on the 4th over allegations of receiving bribes related to the Airbus deal, was remanded until today.

Meanwhile, Namal Rajapaksa has been remanded until the 23rd in connection with a case filed under money laundering charges by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) regarding alleged financial irregularities during the acquisition of aircraft for SriLankan Airlines.

On the 13th, Namal Rajapaksa was named as a suspect in that case based on advice from the Attorney General.
