New Homes Under Construction For 5,799 Families Hit By Ditwah

COLOMBO (News1st);The Ministry of Defence states that the construction of new houses has now commenced for 5,799 houses that were fully damaged due to Cyclone Ditwah.

Its Media Spokesman, Senior Assistant Secretary Prageeth Danansuriya, mentioned that the selection of land for building these houses is also nearing completion.

Prageeth Danansuriya further stated that construction work has currently begun on over 57,000 houses that were partially damaged by Cyclone Ditwah.
