COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Motor Traffic has launched a programme to reduce the time customers spend when obtaining services from the Department.
Commissioner General of Motor Traffic, Retired Air Vice Marshal Thushara Fernando, said discussions have been held with all Commissioners regarding the initiative.
He said all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure that General Public can obtain the required services within the shortest possible time.
According to the Commissioner General, people who arrive at the Department as early as 7:00 or 8:00 a.m. have reportedly had to spend several hours there, with some leaving as late as 2:00 p.m.
However, Commissioner General of Motor Traffic, Retired Air Vice Marshal Thushara Fernando, emphasized that measures are being taken to improve customer services and ensure that the required services are provided within a maximum of two and a half hours.
