Vijitha Herath to Address UN General Assembly on September 28

COLOMBO (News1st);Foreign Affairs Minister Vijitha Herath is scheduled to address the United Nations General Assembly on September 28.

The Minister is expected to depart for New York, United States, on September 26 to participate in the high-level segment of the UN General Assembly.

Speaking on Sri Lanka's engagement with the United Nations, Minister Herath noted that President Anura Kumara Dissanayake attended the previous session of the General Assembly as Head of State, while he will represent Sri Lanka this year in his capacity as Foreign Minister.
