4,918 New Houses Under Construction For Cyclone Ditwah Victims

COLOMBO(News 1st) - The Ministry of Defence says construction has commenced on 4,918 new houses for families whose homes were completely destroyed by Cyclone Ditwah.

Speaking to News First, Senior Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Prageeth Danansooriya said compensation payments have also commenced for 50,554 houses that were partially damaged by the cyclone.
