Proposals Invited To Lease 29 Abandoned Oil Tanks In Trincomalee

COLOMBO (News 1st): It has been decided to call for proposals to lease out 29 currently abandoned oil tanks in Trincomalee to investors on a long-term lease basis.

Mayura Neththikumarage, Managing Director of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC), stated that these 29 oil tanks are among the 61 oil tanks currently owned by Trincomalee Petroleum Terminal Limited.

He also stated that the objective is to establish a fuel re-export hub in Trincomalee.

Mayura Neththikumarage further noted that the renovation of two other CPC-owned oil tanks in Trincomalee has already commenced.
