Three More Arrested Over Fatal Wattala Shooting

COLOMBO (News 1st); Three more suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting at an event hall in Kadirana Palliyawatta, Wattala.

Police said that the suspects are aged 26, 35, and 36 and are residents of Jinthupitiya, Matale, and Kaduwela.

Those arrested include the shooter, the driver of the vehicle used in the shooting, and another who allegedly assisted those involved

On the 23rd of July, a person attending a party at an event hall in Kadirana Palliyawatta, Wattala, was shot and killed.

The Western Province North Crimes Division is conducting further investigations into the incident.
