President Calls For Accountability In Development Spending

COLOMBO (News 1st): President Anura Kumara Dissanayake emphasized that public funds must be properly utilized for development activities.

The President made this statement yesterday while participating in a discussion on the progress of development projects, including the Galle District Development Plan, under the 2026 budget allocations.

The meeting was held yesterday at the Galle District Secretariat.

During the discussion, the President also inquired about housing projects that have been stalled midway.
