Two Arrested Over Bellanwila Shooting

COLOMBO (News 1st): Two suspects allegedly involved in the shooting and killing of a person in Bellanwila, have been arrested.

Police stated that the suspects were taken into custody in Nawagamuwa.

The incident occurred last night when two individuals who arrived on a motorcycle opened fire targeting a restaurant owner, before fleeing the scene.

The victim, who sustained serious gunshot injuries, was admitted to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased was identified as a 55-year-old man.
