Pistol Found in Vehicle Linked to Colombo Port City Clash

COLOMBO (News 1st); A Chinese national who was reportedly injured during a clash between two groups of Chinese nationals in Colombo Port City was allegedly abducted by members of the opposing group following the confrontation, police said.

According to police, the clash resulted in injuries to two Chinese nationals, who were admitted to a private hospital for treatment.

Investigators also revealed that another Chinese national, who is believed to have been injured during the altercation, was allegedly taken away from the scene by individuals linked to the rival group involved in the dispute.

Authorities further stated that a search of a vehicle found at the location led to the discovery of a pistol and a communication device.

The Colombo Harbour Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
