Large Haul of Ice And Heroin Seized

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A suspect has been arrested with more than 8 kilograms of ice and heroin in Dippitigoda, Kiribathgoda.

Police said that officers from the Colombo Crime Division arrested the suspect during a raid carried out last night based on information received.

During the operation, police seized 6 kilograms and 96 grams of ice, along with 2 kilograms and 70 grams of heroin.

Police also said that 5,000 narcotic pills were found in the suspect’s possession.

The suspect is a 31-year-old resident of Dippitigoda.

Meanwhile, another suspect was arrested in Panadura Alubomulla yesterday with more than 18 kilograms of ice.

The suspect is due to be produced before the Panadura Magistrate’s Court today.
