2025 O/L Results Released: Re-Scrutiny Applications Open from June 25

COLOMBO (News 1st); The results of the 2025 G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination were released last night.

Commissioner General of Examinations, Indika Kumari Liyanage, said that based on this year's Ordinary Level examination results, 225,748 students have qualified for the Advanced Level.

During a media briefing convened this morning to disclose information regarding the examination results, the Commissioner General of Examinations stated that this represents 73.16 percent.

She further noted that 74.42 percent of the students who sat for the examination in the Western Province have qualified for the Advanced Level.

The Commissioner General of Examinations also highlighted that the pass rates for Science and Mathematics in 2025 are at a higher level compared to 2024.

Ordinary level examination results can be obtained by visiting www.doenets.lk or www.results.exams.gov.lk.

All school and private candidates can visit onlineexams.gov.lk/eic, enter their National Identity Card (NIC) number, and either download or check their result sheets.

Meanwhile, the Department of Examinations mentioned that the acceptance of applications for re-scrutiny will commence on the 25th of June. 

Accordingly, applications for re-scrutiny can be submitted via the onlineexams.gov.lk/eic portal until the 8th of July

The 2025 G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination was held from February 17th to February 26th of 2026 at 3,547 examination centers.

The total number of candidates who sat for the examination was 405,015. This included 382,249 school candidates and 69,214 private candidates.
