Education Ministry Orders Schools to Complete 2026 O/L and A/L Syllabus on Time

COLOMBO (Newsb 1st): The Ministry of Education has issued a notice regarding the coverage of syllabus for the 2026 G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) and Advanced Level (A/L) examinations.

Through this notice, the Secretary to the Ministry, Nalaka Kaluwewa, informs senior education authorities, including principals of all government and government-approved private schools, that if there is a delay in covering the syllabus at any school, necessary steps must be taken to cover it with a prior plan, utilizing extra time if needed.

The Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Nalaka Kaluwewa, further states that the 2026 G.C.E. Ordinary Level and Advanced Level examinations are scheduled to be held on the relevant dates as planned according to the timetable, and students must be prepared for the exams by completely covering the prescribed syllabus.
