Income Tax Return Filing For 2025/2026 To Begin Next Month

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Inland Revenue Department says the period for submitting income tax returns for the 2025/2026 assessment year will commence next month.
The Department said taxpayers will be able to submit their returns until November 30.
Income tax returns can be filed online through the official website of the Inland Revenue Department.
The Department also warned that legal action will be taken against individuals who fail to submit their income tax returns within the stipulated period.
