COLOMBO (News 1st) - Drone technology is set to be deployed for paddy cultivation in the upcoming Maha season in the dry zone, supporting key farming activities such as seed placement and fertilizer application.
A special workshop on drone technology, held in Kurukulawa, under the patronage of Minister of Science and Technology Professor Chrishantha Abeysena, showcased a locally developed agricultural drone featuring fully indigenous control software and systems.
The event also included discussions on how the technology can be integrated into cultivation practices in the upcoming season.
