Royal Challengers Bengaluru Crowned IPL Champions for Second Consecutive Year

COLOMBO (News 1st): Royal Challengers Bangalore were crowned Indian Premier League champions for the second consecutive year.

They secured the title by defeating Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets in the final of this year’s tournament.

The match was played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 

Winning the toss, RCB captain Rajat Patidar opted to field first.

Batting first, Gujarat Titans scored 155 for 8 in their 20 overs, with Washington Sundar top-scoring with an unbeaten 50.

Rasikh Salam claimed 3 wickets for the bowling side.

Chasing a target of 156, Royal Challengers Bengaluru reached the total in 18 overs with 5 wickets in hand.

Star batter Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 75 runs, hitting 9 fours and 3 sixes in a match-winning knock.

With this victory, Royal Challengers Bengaluru successfully cemented their dominance by securing back-to-back IPL T20 titles.
