Coal Commission Closes Complaint Submissions Today

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Special Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to investigate all coal procurement deals will close its complaint window today.

The Commission stated that 23 complaints have already been submitted by various parties regarding the coal procurement process.

Final complaints can be submitted either in writing or by post to the Commission office, located on the 5th Floor of the Hulfsdorp Court Complex, Sanchi Arachchi waththa, Court Road, Colombo 12.

Investigations into all received complaints are scheduled to commence immediately. 

The Commission stated that individuals will be called in to give evidence following the initial reviews.

The fully-fledged Presidential Commission is chaired by Supreme Court Justice Gihan Kulatunga, alongside Court of Appeal Judge Aditya Patabendige and High Court Judge Sanjeewa Somaratne.
