Police Open Fire on Lorry Transporting Cattle Illegally

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police opened fire on a lorry transporting cattle illegally in the Kattakaduwa area of Hungama after the vehicle failed to comply with police orders to stop.

According to police, the lorry continued to flee despite instructions to halt, prompting officers to take action.

During the incident, one suspect sustained injuries and was admitted to the Tangalle Hospital for treatment.

Police also confirmed that another individual who was in the lorry was arrested at the scene.
