COLOMBO (News 1st): The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) states that the country has fuel reserves sufficient until August.
CPC Managing Director Mayura Netthikumarage, mentioned that fuel orders have been placed up until November.
A vessel carrying 90,000 metric tons of crude oil is scheduled to arrive in the country on the 28th of this month.
It is arriving from the United States.
He further stated that another crude oil shipment is expected to reach the island on the 31st of this month.
Mayura Neththikumarage also noted that fuel consumption has decreased at present.
