Drug Haul Hidden in Sound Equipment In Wattala

COLOMBO (News 1st); A suspect has been arrested in Wattala after a stock of narcotics was found concealed inside sound amplification equipment at a commercial establishment.

Police said the raid was carried out by the Police Narcotics Bureau following a tip-off received by authorities.

During the operation, officers recovered one kilogram and 14 grams of Ice, one kilogram of heroin, 308 grams of Kush, and 4,910 narcotic pills. 

In addition, cash amounting to Rs. 145,000 was also found at the location, according to police.

Further investigations into the incident are being conducted by the Police Narcotics Bureau.
