One Killed And Three Injured In Motorcycle Collision On Puttalam–Trincomalee Road

COLOMBO (News 1st); A person has died and three others have been injured in a motorcycle collision near the 134th kilometre post on the Puttalam–Trincomalee Road.

The deceased has been identified as a 64-year-old resident of Kapugollawa.

Police said the accident occurred when a motorcycle travelling towards Trincomalee collided with another motorcycle that had entered the main road from a side road.

The two motorcyclists and two pillion riders sustained injuries in the crash. One of the motorcyclists later died after being admitted to the Horowpothana Hospital.

Further investigations into the incident are being carried out by the Horowpothana Police
