Health Ministry Reports Dengue Increase In 7 Districts

COLOMBO (News 1st);The Ministry of Health says that there is an increase in dengue cases reported in the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Galle, Matara, Hambantota, and Ratnapura districts.

The Dengue Control Unit says 4,617 patients were reported in the month of April alone.

Due to this situation, special dengue control programmes are being implemented in the Colombo, Gampaha, and Kalutara districts.

So far this year, 12 dengue-related deaths have been reported. 

The Dengue Control Unit also noted that a dengue patient died in Ratnapura a few days ago.
