People And Government United In New Governance Era At NPP May Day Rally - President

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake says that a new form of governance has been established where the people and the government function in unity.

Addressing the National People’s Power (NPP) May Day rally held in Nuwara Eliya, the President said the country must move forward together in unity to secure future victories.

This year’s NPP May Day celebrations are being held under the theme “People’s Power For A People’s Government.” 

The party has organised 21 rallies across 21 cities islandwide today.

Meanwhile, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya May Day rally began at 3.00 p.m. at the P.D. Sirisena Grounds in Maligawatta, led by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.
