Accident Claims One Life in Nawalapitiya

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A helper to a container truck driver has died following a road accident in Nawalapitiya.

Police said the incident occurred when the container truck was reversing and crashed into a wall, resulting in fatal injuries to the helper. 

The deceased is a 26-year-old resident of Galagedara.

The driver of the container truck has been arrested in connection with the incident. 

He is scheduled to be produced before the Nawalapitiya Magistrate’s Court.
