COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has agreed to provide a special financial aid package exceeding $100 million to Sri Lanka.
The funding is specifically aimed at diversifying the country's export market.
The agreement was reached during discussions currently being held with a special delegation from the Asian Development Bank, who are visiting the island to observe Sri Lanka's export processes.
Chairman of the Export Development Board (EDB), Mangala Wijesinghe noted that the ADB has further pledged its continued support to strengthen the national export mechanism in the future.
