COLOMBO (News 1st): The National Fertilizer Secretariat has announced that a shipment carrying an additional 25,000 metric tons of urea fertilizer is expected to arrive in Sri Lanka at the beginning of next month.
Director Chandana Lokuhewage stated that a total of 125,000 metric tons of urea is required for the Yala season to support paddy cultivation and other crops.
He further noted that by mid-next month, the country’s available stock of urea fertilizer is expected to reach around 151,000 metric tons.
